The Terrace at Lake Junaluska

With a mission to be a place of Christian hospitality that fosters transformation, Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center welcomes guests with a swimming pool, a golf course, tennis courts and a 200-acre lake. The center boasts more than 400 lodgings, including cottages, apartments, motel and hotel rooms, plus RV and tent campgrounds. Amenities vary. Some have flat-panel TVs, coffeemakers and hairdryers; others have kitchenettes with stovetops, microwaves and mini-fridges. The resort has an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, mini-golf, a playground, a game room and an outdoor pool. On the lake there are seasonal boat rides and kayak, paddle boat and canoe rentals. Additional amenities include barbeque grills, picnic areas and an on-site restaurant. Meeting space, a business center and conference halls are also available. The World Methodist Museum is on the grounds of the resort, as is a four-mile walking trail that winds around Lake Junaluska. Cataloochee Ski Area is seven miles away, and it's 18 miles to Harrah's Cherokee Casino and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Western Carolina University is 26 miles to the south, and it's 34 miles west to Biltmore Estate and Asheville Regional Airport.
